Good food alone cannot make you healthy and happy. You also need sunshine (for vitamin D and strong biorhythms), moderate exercise, relaxation, and love. A daily walk outdoors will give you the first three. Use a water-filter and nontoxic household products (available from us & elsewhere). Get mercury fillings out of your teeth. Avoid drugs and manmade chemicals whenever possible. If your health remains poor, find a doctor who will search for the root causes, not suppress the symptoms with drugs and surgery.

------------------------MARTHA WHITE'S SOUTHERN SAMP------------------------ 1/2 c Martha White Whole Wheat

-Flour 1/2 c Quick-cooking or old-fashion

-oats 1 tb Sugar

1 ts Baking powder

1/2 ts Cinnamon

1/2 ts Salt

1 Egg

2/3 c Milk

1/2 c Applesauce

2 tb Vegetable oil

1/2 c Chopped walnuts

Stir together flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in mixing bowl. Beat egg in separate bowl; stir in milk, applesauce, and oil. Add liquid mixture to dry ingredients, stirring just until blended. Fold in walnuts. Pour batter onto heated (340) lightly greased skillet or griddle, using about 1/4 cup batter for each pancake. Brown on one side. Turn when tops are covered with bubbles and edges begin to look dry. Brown on other side. ~---- -----
