The Glycaemic Index Diet
The glycaemic index diet is linked to the gi index, a list showing foods and a score illustrating the speed with which the carbs of the food type gets converted to sugar in the dieters blood stream. The claim is that long-acting food types (ie with a low Glycaemic score), suppress your appetite and help you to take in fewer food without feeling you are missing out.
It's also extremeley useful for sufferers from diabetes, as the low GI food types are beneficial in controlling rises in blood sugar secretion.
